About this blog

Before reading any further, you should know that this blog focuses on the 20th and 21st century. I don’t like referring to the literature from Spain as Spanish Peninsular Literature. I think that this term is discriminative, and has not in consideration non peninsular territories like Ceuta, Melilla or the Balearic and Canary islands.
Though I do understand the importance of all literary theories, this web site approaches Literature mainly from three perspectives: History, politics and social changes.  As Fedric Jameson pointed out, I consider that “form is immanently and intrinsically an ideology in its own right”.[i]
